Balbir Khera is CEO and Founder of Maxval Technologies
and the Co-founder of its partner companies. Balbir was formerly a high ranking Naval officer
and an engineer with the Indian Navy. As the chief engineer of India’s most modern warship,
Balbir has managed over 100 electrical and mechanical engineers. He worked as a Deputy Director
on a concurrent engineering ship design project. He conceptualized a concurrent engineering ship
building project for geographically dispersed locations and formalized Product Life Cycle Management
(PLCM) concepts for the Indian Navy. He interacted with leading global Product Data Management (PDM)
and Computer Aided Design (CAD) vendors and initiated the project on configuration management.
He also designed and executed an enterprise solution for automation of the design process for
ship design and construction. Balbir earned a Masters degree in Financial Management and a
Masters in Computer Simulation from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Commander Mehta did his schooling from Bangalore Military School and later joined the Indian Navy as a Cadet. After completing his Basic Engineering course, he specialized in Weapon Equipments on board warships. During his 36 years of service in the Indian Navy, he served major warships as weapon maintenance, electrical / Electronic equipment maintenance engineer. He also served as Dy Manager at major repair yard at Port Blair (Andaman and Nicobar islands) and Naval Dockyard Mumbai. Apart from the Technical profession, he was appointed in the record office and was responsible for positioning of 4500 technical personnel for adequately manning of the warships, ensuring right trained person on board ships, their timely replacement, adequate base support to meet any peacetime/ war time emergency and advising on recruitment pattern to meet the future trained manpower need. Due to his strong adminstrative capabilities, he has been found most suitable to head the HR and Adminstrative department.Cdr. Mehta has also done diploma in Shipping Management from Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping, Mumbai and is at present Fellow member of Institute of Engineers.
